Restoration & Framing Service

Restoration

Jacqueline Wolfers has been a picture restorer of oil and tempera paintings for forty years.

She trained in Florence in the Gabinetto del Restauro at the Uffizi for five years 1963-1968. She worked on conserving the Uffizi pictures damaged in the floods of 1966, including the Cimabue Crucifix.

Since returning to England in 1968, she has worked for museums, churches and private collections. The greater part of her work has been on oils of the 17th, 18th and 19th century - many of them in stately homes.

Estimates free / Will collect and deliver / Work on site / Relining of canvases and cradling of panels also undertaken.

Framing

The Gallery uses two excellent bespoke picture framers whose judgement, advice and standard of work are outstanding. Their prices are reasonable too.

Please call in when the Gallery is open to discuss your requirements. At other times, please telephone to make an appointment.
